 St. Paul’s Women

Coordinators
Laura O'Leary, Judy Smith

St. Paul Women of the ELCA is part of a churchwide women’s organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Our group of women meets for the months of September through June at 7:30 pm, typically on the third Wednesday of each month (see Calendar) or the St. Paul’s Women’s Group Bulletin Board in the church.

The goals of the group are:

  • To increase participation by more women within our congregation
  • To Provide opportunities that will help our women grow in faith, sisterhood and outreach
  • To involve more women in leadership activities
  • To increase awareness and knowledge of what it means to be a woman of the ELCA
  • To promote the realization that our call to serve does not take us away from our daily duties, but more deeply into them

The national organization of the Women of the ELCA is organized around three mission areas: Community/Growth and Action

  • Community – To enable each woman to value herself and others as created in God’s image and redeemed through Christ; and to build up and celebrate relationships which are global, diverse and interdependent.
  • Growth – To provide a variety of learning experiences, which strengthen each woman as a whole person, develop her potential and equip her for ministry.
  • Action – To enable women to articulate and act upon their faith as disciples of Christ in all areas of life.
